Varvaglione Papale Primitivo di Manduria
The wine comes into the glass with bright purple and cherry-red reflections.
The nose is determined by the most intense notes of ripe berries, especially blackberries, blueberries and red currants.
Spicy notes of brown candy, oak, cocoa and liquorice round off the bouquet.
On the palate it starts wonderfully round, full-bodied and silky.
Its subtle fruit sweetness combines excellently with soft tannins and a harmoniously woven fruit sweetness.
The wine got its name from the vineyard where the grapes grow, which once belonged to the family of Pope Benedict XIII
