Buffelsfontein Pinotage
The two old wild fig trees on either side of the dirt road on Buffelsfontein were once freshly cut slats from which a bow was woven to welcome Paul Kruger to the farm.
President Kruger went to visit his father, Casper Kruger, who lived just a short distance away.
The slats were never removed from the ground and began to grow.
The trees stand today as a living memorial to Uncle Paul who once said: "Africa before the Afrikaner."
